  • 150 (75) g sugar;

  • 100 (200) g butter;
  • ¼ (1/2) cup sunflower oil;
  • Approximately 3 (6) cups flour.

Filling for bagels with nuts:

  • Chopped walnuts - 1 (0.5) cup;
  • Raisins - 100 (50) g;
  • Honey - 4-5 (2-3) tablespoons.

Additionally, we need:

  • 1 egg;
  • 3-5 tablespoons of sugar.

Yeast rolls with nuts

Let's prepare the nut filling for the bagels. Peel and chop the nuts. Steam the raisins with boiling water for 5-10 minutes to soften, and then salt the water (do not pour it out, since the raisin water is tasty and healthy, but simply salt it in a cup). And mix the nuts with raisins and honey. It is very simple and delicious filling for baking.


Kneading yeast dough according to my favorite recipe, which has long been known to regular readers of the site. The bagels are fluffy and soft. There are other options: you can make shortcrust yeast dough or dough for cottage cheese bagels, all these recipes can be viewed in detail on the website. In this case, I made bagels from yeast dough, so I will briefly talk about it.

Grind yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar, dilute with milk, sift 0.5-1 glass of flour and knead a thin dough - dough. Put in a warm place (on a bowl of warm water), cover with a clean towel. In the meantime, the dough rises, beat the eggs with sugar and melt the butter.
Then add beaten eggs, warm melted butter to the dough and gradually add the sifted flour. Before adding the last portion of flour, pour in sunflower oil... The consistency of the dough should be soft, but not sticky to the hands. Put it in the heat again for 15-20 minutes, then, when it comes up, wrap it up - and you can sculpt bagels!

Having pricked the table with flour, roll out a circle about 0.3 mm thick from the dough.


We cut the circle into segments - there can be 8 or 16 of them, the more segments, the smaller the bagels.


Put a teaspoon of filling on the wide edge of each segment.


And we roll up the bagels, twisting them from the wide edge to the narrow one.



Prepare two plates: pour sugar into one, beat an egg into the other with a fork.


Dip the top side of the bagels first into a beaten egg ...


Then into sugar - they will have a delicious, ruddy, sweet crust.


And spread in rows on a baking sheet, greased vegetable oil.


We put in warm oven and bake at 180-200 C for about half an hour. We look at how the bagels are there - do they fit, blush? Fine! To make the same crust appear on the bagels, at the end of baking, when the wooden stick is already dry during the test, you can increase the heat. 5 minutes - and golden, ruddy bagels are ready!


Remove them with a spatula on a dish, let them cool down a little - and serve delicious bagels with nuts and raisins for tea!

Bagels without filling

The easiest shortcrust pastry bagel recipe is useful for breakfast on a weekend. Ingredients:

  • 200 g butter;
  • two glasses of flour;
  • vanillin;
  • one glass of sugar;
  • sour cream - 100 g;
  • egg - 4 pcs.

A pre-frozen piece of butter must be chopped on a coarse grater and mixed with sifted flour. Beat sugar and eggs separately, then add sour cream. Combine all ingredients and knead to a tender dough.

Roll out the dough (approx. 5 mm thick) and cut into small triangles. Roll up the bagels and place in the oven (temp. 180 degrees) for 15 minutes. The treat can be sprinkled with cinnamon, sugar, poppy seeds, or crushed cookies before baking.

Bagels with jam (recipe)

It is very easy to cook even with a little sweet tooth. Children love to watch their mothers and participate in the process.

Ingredients:

  • sour cream - 100 g;
  • soda - 0.3 teaspoon;
  • butter - 100 g;
  • thick jam - 150 g;
  • sifted flour - 200 g.

Melt and cool to room temperature, add soda and sour cream. Pour flour in small portions, gradually kneading the dough. Wrap the shortbread dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Divide the mass into two parts and form balls. Roll out a circle (2-3 mm thick) and, like a pie, cut into pieces. Place the jam on the wide edge and flatten it a little, then wrap the bagels. You can pinch the edges so that the liquid jam does not "run away" during baking.

Put the baking sheet with the blanks in the oven (temp. 180 degrees) - after 25 minutes you will have delicious sand bagels on the table. The recipe can be diversified with boiled condensed milk, apple pieces, cottage cheese, marmalade or chocolate - it all depends on the preferences of the young cook.

Chocolate and cherry

The following recipe will help us to please adults and children with the filling. Sand bagels with cherries and chocolate are a delicacy that will perfectly complement a glass of milk or a cup of aromatic coffee.

Ingredients:

  • sour cream - 200 g;
  • drain. oil - 200 g;
  • two eggs;
  • flour - 400 g;
  • one glass of sugar;
  • salt - 1/3 teaspoon spoons;
  • half a bar of chocolate;
  • walnuts - 100 g;
  • pitted cherries - 100 g.

Cooking process

No sour cream and eggs

As you may have noticed, most include sour cream and eggs. Even experienced housewives do not always have these ingredients available, but even without them, it is quite easy to cook sand bagels. The recipe will certainly appeal to adherents of a vegetarian diet.

Ingredients:

  • sugar or powdered sugar - 80 g;
  • flour - 170 g;
  • butter (butter) or margarine - 120 g;
  • starch - 40 g;
  • baking powder - 0.5 tsp;

The dough is cooled down so you can start filling. For the filling, you need 1.5 - 2 cups of nuts and a glass of sugar. Nuts must be taken peeled from the shell.

In our case, we will use walnuts for the filling. To give the nut bitterness and become tender in taste, pour boiling water over it for 5 - 10 minutes. Then drain the water and dry the nut in a heated dry frying pan.

If other nuts are chosen for the filling, then they need to be fried to add additional flavor. Frying time 1 - 2 minutes in a well-heated skillet without oil.
