How to Cook Smoked Ribs Pea Soup

- smoked ribs (pork) - 600g

How to make pea soup with smoked ribs

Step 1. Take a large saucepan (5 liters) and pour in water (3 liters). Pour in peas (if chipped, then you do not need to soak, especially since the ribs need to be boiled in water for a long time and the peas boil perfectly). Salt later.

Step 2. Then, clean the potatoes with vegetables and cut into cubes (you can cut it in any form to your taste).

Step 3. Now, we follow the water where the peas are boiled. Peas give foam when boiling, so you need to remove it periodically (you cannot add cold water to the pan, as the peas will turn out to be hard).

Step 4. So, we have removed most of the foam, reduce the heat and cook the peas for 15-25 minutes. We add potatoes. For the first time, add a tablespoon of salt (during cooking, we will add salt to taste). Cook for about 15 minutes more.

Step 5. Shred carrots, onions and fry in a pan until golden brown (for lovers of spicy dishes, you can also add garlic and pepper). Tip: you do not need to give greens and dill in pea soup, as it will taste bitter. But spices and peppers are what you need.


Step 6. Cut the ribs in portions and add to the pan. After a few minutes, send the fried onions with carrots there. Stir the soup from time to time.

Step 7. So we come to the end of cooking the soup. We taste it. If necessary, add salt and pepper, reduce heat to low and cook for another 15 minutes. Then put the bay leaf. Remove the soup from the heat, mix well and listen to the bay leaf. Let the soup brew for about an hour.

Serve, adding diced croutons to a plate.
